Youth Insaka

YOUTH INSAKA is a safe space for young people to explore crucial topics and to give guidance through the challenges of their student years as they become young adults.. The word ‘Insaka’’ means ‘shelter’ in Bemba, one of Zambia’s rich cultural tribes.

Youth Insaka empowers school-aged youth with knowledge, skills and support in the areas of education, leadership, wellness, and decision-making.. With trained youth ambassadors teaching their peers, it means we can reach many more young people across communities. Key subjects are agreed upon with the Departments of Education and include:

  • guidance through the education journey,
  • gender equality,
  • drug and alcohol use,
  • reproductive health,
  • human rights
  • gender-based violence.
